Nearly all of them are seen and archive footage used to show older cars in service.
Using black/white still photographs and archive film, plus recent footage, the cliff funiculars and lifts of Great Britain are featured, with long lost examples being included along with those still in operation today.
From Aberystwyth to Southend, fifteen locations are visited:
Aberystwyth, Babbacombe, Bridgnorth, Bristol Clifton Rocks, Bournemouth, Folkstone (had four lifts), Hastings (has two lifts), Lynton - Lynmouth, Llwyngwern (1973), Margate (Closed 1970), Saltburn, Scarborough (Had four lifts), Shipley Glen, Southend, Plus vertical lifts at Brighton, Ramsgate, Margate and Whitby.
Including the Clifton Rocks funicular which closed in 1934 with tracks and cable still in position.
