Some seaside towns had railway lines on their piers originally for the use of taking passenger luggage from steamers and then passengers themselves. This unique DVD shows the Ryde Pier trams before closure in 1969, Shackling engine no 22 is seen on this pier which joined main line station, Seaview pier seen in the 1930's, Hythe Pier in Southampton which still runs trains today to meet ferries, Mersey Pier demolished in 1946, Southport which is one of the oldest as well as Blackpool Pier.
