This pre-owned hardback, 294 page book with dust jacket, published in 1981 has clearly been read many times and its condition is rather tired. However the story is still very readable and extremely interesting.
It is an autobiography written by George King, who was a midshipman on Polydorus during the second world war.
More importantly at the end of the war he joined BP where he gained his first command in 1959.
He became managing director of the BP Tanker Company from 1975-1981.
