Written by Tom Sullivan AB of Bristol in the 1920s, this is an inspiring first-hand account of survival against the odds of an orphan boy in Victorian England. He ran away to sea in 1848, but eventually had to escape from a tyrannical skipper, and walked from London to Liverpool. After more adventure he did eventually experience more exotic times as a mariner.
The book was published by Whittles, and is in very good condition, though with an inscription inside the front cover.
