This newly published hardback book with dust jacket and 208 pages has over 80 colour photos of passenger ships, photographed during the 1940s and 1950s.
The ships range from those built during the early 1900s up to the late 1950s.
Each photo is accompanied with well-researched text which not only provides the history of the ship, but also places the vessel in the context of the day.
The book was written in South Africa by Nigel Hughes and Trevor Jones.
