Hardback book with dust jacket and 163 pages written by Captain Jim Uglow and published by Conway Maritime Press in 1975.
In the book the author describes his life at sea
- He had run away to sea at 14.
- He had his first command while hardly out of his teens.
- By 26 he was skipper of the largest barge ever built upto that time.
- The only sailorman to have been awarded an MBE,
- And a superb racing skipper.
The book contains some black and white photographs which were collected by Tony Farnham.
The book has clearly been well read and shows its age, though the pages are still well bound.
