Although Smeaton's Eddystone lighthouse had to be re-built after one-hundred years, Robert Stevenson's Bell Rock Lighthouse still stands proud today, two hundred years after it was built. This is the story of its birth and construction, told very largely by its innovator and his grandson, Robert Louis Stevenson.
